Modus Projects in Melbourne is seeking an HVAC & Refrigeration Apprentice to join our growing team. You will gain hands-on experience across commercial sites, learning from experienced tradespeople and developing practical trade skills.

We encourage 1st and 2nd year apprentices, with 3rd and 4th years welcome, and offer mentoring, safety training and family-focused benefits as you progress in the HVAC industry.

Whether you’re just starting out or already progressing through your apprenticeship, this is your opportunity to learn from experienced tradespeople, gain valuable commercial experience and build a long-term career in the HVAC industry.

What You’ll Be Doing

Get hands‑on experience across key commercial sites, working alongside qualified HVAC technicians and learning the trade from the ground up.

You’ll gain exposure to:

• Fault finding, servicing and practical trade skills.
• Commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Preventative, reactive, and planned HVAC maintenance.
• Working across diverse commercial sites for major corporate clients.
• Customer service, site safety and completing service reports.

You’ll receive ongoing guidance, one‑on‑one mentoring and support from experienced tradespeople who want to see you succeed.

What We’re Looking For

We’re interested in your attitude, willingness to learn and commitment to developing your skills.

• 1st and 2nd year apprentices strongly encouraged to apply.
• 3rd and 4th year apprentices also welcome.
• Current trainee refrigerant handling licence through ARCtick, or willingness to obtain the required licence.
• Current driver’s licence.
• White Card.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Confidence completing service reports, or willingness to learn.
• A positive, can‑do attitude and a genuine interest in HVAC and refrigeration.
• Willingness to complete police and medical checks.
