Job summary

Modus Projects is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician for full-time field work across multiple locations in Australia. The role involves travel between various sites, performing breakdown, servicing and installation tasks on HVAC and refrigeration equipment, with after-hours roster and overtime as needed.

You will work with a team, supported by a Service Coordinator, to meet client requirements while complying with safety standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• HVAC or refrigeration qualification required.
• ARCtick license for fluorocarbon refrigerants.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience with commercial HVAC systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel between various job sites daily, including Retail and Petroleum locations.
• Carry out breakdowns, servicing, preventive and reactive maintenance, and installation on HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Support from a dedicated Service Coordinator and office team for scheduling.
• Collaborate with technicians, contractors and project managers to complete HVAC projects efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain clear communication with clients to deliver excellent service.
• Keep detailed records and service documentation of all work performed.

About the Role

As part of our national expansion, we are looking for an experienced and reliable HVAC Technicians to join our team on a full-time basis in various locations.

This role will also be required to do overtime when required and be part of an after-hours Roster to meet our client needs.

Locations we are recruiting for:

• Port Macquarie - Candidate will be travelling within a 300km radius from this location
• Wollongong - Candidate will be travelling within a 200km radius from this location
• Central Coast - Candidate will be travelling within a 200km radius from this location
• Gosford - Candidate will be travelling within a 200km radius from this location

You will be responsible for:

• You will travel between various job sites daily, including Retail and Petroleum locations.
• Carry out breakdowns, servicing, preventative & reactive maintenance and installation on HVAC and refrigeration equipment
• Our dedicated head office team will manage your schedule, and you will have support from your own coordinator.
• Collaborate with other technicians, contractors, and project managers to complete HVAC projects efficiently and effectively.
• Ensure all work complies with local codes, regulations and safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with team members and maintain clear communication with clients to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Keep accurate and detailed records of work performed, including reports and service documentation.

Key Requirements:

• Formal qualifications in HVAC or refrigeration, such as a Certificate III or IV in Airconditioning & Refrigeration
• Current ARCtick National license for fluorocarbon refrigerants
• Valid driver’s license
• Proven experience as an HVAC technician, preferably a background in commercial HVAC systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A national police check and medical assessment will be part of the recruitment process
