Job summary

Carrier seeks a Modernisation Business Development Manager to identify and secure HVAC retrofit, upgrade and lifecycle modernisation opportunities across commercial assets in the Sydney metropolitan region. You will sell equipment replacements, controls upgrades, energy efficiency improvements and related projects.

You will engage building owners, facility managers and contractors, develop technically sound and commercially viable solutions, and collaborate with engineering teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Proven experience selling HVAC projects, retrofit solutions, upgrades, or building services in commercial environments.
• Strong technical understanding of commercial HVAC systems, including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, cooling towers, pumps, BMS and controls.
• Ability to identify, develop and manage project opportunities through the full sales lifecycle.
• Experience preparing technical proposals, quotations and solution-based recommendations.
• Strong customer relationship management, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and develop practical HVAC solutions.
• Strong commercial acumen with disciplined sales pipeline management and targets.
• Engineering background with experience in upgrade, modernisation or infrastructure projects is valued.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop HVAC retrofit, modernisation and lifecycle upgrade opportunities across sectors.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, consultants, facility managers, asset owners and contractors.
• Conduct site assessments to identify improvement opportunities and energy efficiency upgrades.
• Develop tailored technical solutions and business cases aligned with customer goals.
• Prepare and deliver competitive technical and commercial proposals with engineering teams.
• Manage opportunities through the full sales lifecycle from qualification to award.
• Maintain accurate pipelines, forecasts and market intelligence to drive revenue.
