Job summary

Trane Thermo King Pty Ltd – Seven Hills NSW is seeking a Chiller Technician to service and maintain commercial HVAC chillers across Sydney. You will join a team of professional service technicians, perform operations, maintenance and commissioning, and contribute to after-hours standby duties.

The ideal candidate has experience with commercial HVAC chillers, holds Refrigeration/AC qualifications, and possesses licencing and safety credentials.

Qualifications

• Experience/exposure to commercial HVAC Chillers.
• Trade qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
• Current restricted Electrical License.
• Valid Driver's License, White Card and ARC Licence.
• Experience in A/C maintenance and installations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and unplanned service, maintenance and commissioning of Trane and other Chillers.
• Accurate and timely completion of paperwork related to work performed.
• Participate in after-hours standby duty roster.
• Foster professional relationships among technicians and apprentices.
• Comply with safety, company and statutory policies and procedures.
• As required, facilitate on-site training for technicians and supervise apprentices.
• Quote and bring new client leads for service repairs.

Trane has an exciting new opportunity for a Chiller Technician based in Seven Hills, Sydney with an original equipment manufacturer. Trane Technologies is the exclusive manufacturer and service division for Trane, with direct access to the Trane factory, technical literature, training and spare parts. The future for Trane is moving forward with new products and superior technical service for our customers.

Reporting to the Regional Services Manager, your role is to provide exceptional support as part of a team of professional service technicians, responsible for carrying out operational, maintenance and repair works on commercial Chillers and HVAC equipment across Sydney and the surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Carry out planned and unplanned service, maintenance and commissioning of all types of Trane and other brand of Chiller Plants

Accurate and timely completion of required paperwork related to work performed

Participate in the after hours standby duty roster

Fostering and maintaining professional working relationships amongst technicians and apprentices and continually demonstrate the ability to work within pairs and smaller teams

Comply with all safety, company and statutory policies and procedures at all times

Actively participate in all company facilitated training and service meetings as required by the company

As required by the company, facilitate on-site training for technicians/apprentices as well as supervise work performed by an allocated apprentice.

Quote and bring new client leads of small service repairs

To be successful for this role ideally you will have

Experience/exposure to commercial HVAC Chillers

Trade qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning

Current restricted Electrical License

Valid Driver's License

Construction Induction Card (white card)

Current ARC Licence

Experience in A/C maintenance and Installations of all types

Good time management and customer service skills

Technical competence

Ability and confidence to work alone and in team environment

Positive and proactive approach to safety
