Job summary

Connexus in North Sydney is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical (HVAC/Building Services) Engineer to join a growing, privately owned practice renowned for practical, buildable HVAC design.

You'll work directly with the Founder and senior team on design‑and‑construct projects, running your own drafting in AutoCAD and Revit, coordinating with contractors, and developing a clear path to Senior/Associate roles while enjoying genuine autonomy and a modern, five‑minute walk from North Sydney station.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years local experience as a consulting mechanical building services engineer.
• Skilled in multidisciplinary design coordination and comfortable working with contractors.
• High level of proficiency in English.
• Proficient with Revit and AutoCAD for drafting and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical HVAC systems in accordance with Australian codes and standards
• Perform heat load calculations, equipment selection, and system scheduling
• Produce your own design and workshop drawings in AutoCAD and Revit
• Contribute to multidisciplinary project delivery, coordinating with architects and contractors
• Support client relationships and communications under senior staff
• Conduct site inspections and surveys
• Prepare technical documentation and specifications
• Mentor junior engineers as you gain experience
