Job summary

Connexus Recruitment is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical (HVAC / Building Services) Engineer for a North Sydney-based consultancy. You will run your own drafting in AutoCAD and Revit, work directly with the Founder and senior team on design-and-construct projects and coordinate with contractors to deliver complex building services.

You will handle pressure-free design, heat-load calculations, and thorough documentation, with a genuine growth path toward senior leadership.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of local experience as a consulting mechanical building services engineer.
• Skilled in multidisciplinary design coordination and comfortable working with contractors.
• High level of proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical HVAC systems in accordance with Australian codes and standards.
• Perform heat load calculations, equipment selection, and system scheduling.
• Produce your own design and workshop drawings in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Contribute to and coordinate multidisciplinary project delivery with architects, contractors, and other consultants.
• Support client relationships and communications under senior staff guidance.
• Conduct site inspections and surveys.
• Prepare clear, accurate, and comprehensive technical documentation and specifications.
• Provide guidance and support to graduate and junior engineers as your experience develops.
