Job summary

New Venture Recruitment is seeking an experienced HVAC Lead BIM Coordinator to coordinate BIM delivery on major projects in Sydney. The role combines hands-on Revit modelling with leadership of a capable BIM team within an established contractor environment.

You will review consultant and contractor models, perform clash detection, and manage BIM documentation while mentoring junior staff and coordinating external drafting partners. A strong delivery mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in an HVAC contractor BIM or drafting environment.
• Strong Revit and Navisworks capability, including clash detection.
• Experience delivering large, technically complex projects (data centres, healthcare or major commercial).
• Confidence leading BIM processes and engaging with multiple stakeholders.
• Delivery-focused mindset suited to live construction environments.

Responsibilities

• Review consultant and contractor models for constructability.
• Perform clash detection and coordination using Navisworks.
• Audit models and ensure Revit quality control.
• Lead coordination meetings and constructability reviews.
• Manage BIM documentation and model updates.
• Mentor BIM modellers and junior team members.
• Coordinate external drafting subcontractors.
• Liaise with project and construction management teams.
