Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Principal BIM Modeller to join our Buildings services team in Sydney. You will lead digital design delivery on major infrastructure projects, supervising a diverse group of designers and coordinating with external teams to ensure quality results.

The role requires deep proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Revit families, and cloud collaboration on BIM360, with strong communication skills and a proactive, collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of Revit Libraries and how to utilise them in project delivery; guide junior team members.
• Extensive understanding of Revit Families; create parametric families and use shared parameters.
• Demonstrate drafting standards expertise; guide juniors and ensure quality output.
• Understanding of Cloud-based collaboration on BIM360.

Responsibilities

• Plan and guide digital design work; apply established techniques with judgment.
• Devise new approaches to problems; lead delivery on large projects.
• Mentor digital designers; coordinate with the external project team for clash detection.
• Present digital design delivery to clients; manage budgets and timelines.
