Job summary

VAE Group in Darwin is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to expand our presence with Smarter HVAC Solutions. This sales-focused role aims to convert opportunities into long-term service and maintenance contracts by building strong customer relationships.

You will understand customer operations, identify where VAE can add value, and work with our established technical and operational teams to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success in business development, sales or account growth.
• Experience within HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical or related technical industry.
• Track record of turning opportunities into profitable work.
• Strong customer relationships with technical and commercial stakeholders.
• Experience developing new accounts and growing existing ones.
• Commercial acumen, including pricing, margins and negotiations.
• Experience preparing quotations, tenders and proposals.
• Confident in initiating conversations and pursuing opportunities.
• Strong presentation and written/verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of the HVAC market in Darwin/NT and local relationships is valued.
