Job summary

Ampcontrol's High Voltage Field Service team in Tomago is seeking an HV Estimator to develop estimates and tender solutions for diverse electrical infrastructure projects across Australia. The role combines technical insight with commercial delivery, spanning maintenance, upgrades and replacements.

You'll work with customers, technical specialists and operations to create accurate tenders, budgets and solutions, while ensuring compliance and fostering long-term relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience in estimating, project delivery or related technical role.
• Knowledge of HV and LV electrical plant, equipment and systems.
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Advanced Excel and Word skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing accurate cost estimates, quotations and tender submissions.
• Developing budgets for maintenance, overhaul, upgrade and replacement projects.
• Reviewing tender documentation, technical specifications and customer requirements.
• Liaising with customers to understand project scope and provide tailored solutions.
• Supporting pre-engineering activities and project planning processes.
• Coordinating tender follow-ups and maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Participating in project reviews and handovers to operational teams.
• Ensuring tenders comply with contractual, regulatory and industry requirements.
• Identifying opportunities to improve tender success rates and business growth.
