Job summary

Ampcontrol's High Voltage Field Service team in Tomago, NSW, seeks an HV Estimator to develop cost estimates and tender solutions for diverse nationwide projects.

Work with customers, technical specialists and operations to scope work, prepare quotes and ensure standards compliance, applying electrical trade knowledge in a commercial role. This position suits Electrical tradespeople, technicians or engineers seeking exposure to high-value projects.

Qualifications

• Electrical trades or engineering background with relevant qualifications.
• Experience in estimating, project delivery or related technical role.
• Knowledge of HV and LV electrical plant, equipment and systems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Customer-focused approach with ability to build relationships.
• Advanced skills in Excel and Word.
• Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, quotations and tender submissions.
• Develop budgets for maintenance, overhaul, upgrade and replacement projects.
• Review tender documentation, technical specs, and customer requirements.
• Liaise with customers to understand scope and tailor solutions.
• Support pre-engineering activities and project planning.
• Coordinate tender follow-ups and maintain customer relationships.
• Participate in project reviews and handovers to operations.
• Ensure tenders comply with contractual, regulatory and industry requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve tender success and business growth.
