Job summary

EPSA is seeking a skilled HV Electrician to maintain and troubleshoot A/C and electrical systems on heavy vehicles at our site. The role is full-time with a focus on safety, compliance and quality maintenance in collaboration with maintenance crews.

You will contribute to reliability and performance, perform repairs to manufacturer specs, and support continuous improvement in a dynamic, family-owned environment with roster options.

Qualifications

• Current S11 certification.
• Current Australian Drivers Licence.
• Electrical Trade Qualification (HV Electrician).
• High Voltage switching ticket.
• Experience with diesel electric haul trucks is essential, preferably Komatsu.
• Experience with mobile plant equipment.
• Strong diagnostic, fault finding and preventative maintenance skills.
• Capable of reading and understanding parts manuals.
• Team player mentality with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to health, safety, quality and environment.

Responsibilities

About the role

EPSA is seeking a HV Electrician to be permanently employed by the company on a full-time basis. The role focuses on maintaining and troubleshooting A/C and electrical systems of heavy vehicles, executing repairs, and servicing in line with manufacturer and company standards, while ensuring safety, compliance, and quality maintenance through effective collaboration and resource management.

• Maintain A/C Systems
• Troubleshooting electrical systems
• Work to continuously improve the safety values and performance
• Carry out repairs and servicing in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and / or company procedures
• Ensure tools and equipment are kept in a serviceable and clean condition and items sourced from the Store are returned by the end of shift
• Ensure repairs and servicing is carried out in accordance with manufacturer's specifications
• Execute allocated work to ensure it is completed safely within the required timeframes and to the required level of quality
• Work effectively with the maintenance crews to adhere to the maintenance plan
• Ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with the relevant legislation and statutory requirements
• Working with Maintenance Supervisors to ensure quality maintenance performance, including asset availability and reliability
• Work with Maintenance Supervisors to ensure effective resource allocation (such as people, equipment, and resources) to meet maintenance work targets and schedules

To be successful you will have:

• Current S11
• Current Australian Drivers Licence
• Electrical Trade Qualification (HV Electrician)
• High Voltage switching ticket
• Relevant trade qualification and other tickets as appropriate
• Experience working with diesel electric haul trucks essential preferably Komatsu
• Experience working with mobile plant equipment
• Proven excellent diagnostic, fault finding, trouble shooting and preventative maintenance skills
• Capable of reading and understanding parts manuals
• Team player attitude and capable of working with minimum supervision
• Commitment to health, safety, quality and the environment
• Current Coal Board Medical or willingness and ability to pass pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing
