Job summary

Seek is seeking a qualified Auto Electrician to service a fleet of over 50 vehicles and 100 heavy earthmoving machines. The role covers field service in Hervey Bay and Maryborough, with support from the workshop team and access to product knowledge specialists.

The position is full-time permanent. Applicants should have 5+ years post-trade experience, an active Air Conditioning licence, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years post-trade experience.
• Air conditioning licence currently held.
• Basic electrical aptitude and mobile equipment experience.
• Ability to work unsupervised in a fast-paced team.
• Good computer skills; CAT ET experience advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong initiative in problem solving and decision making.
• Reliable, self-motivated with good time management.

Responsibilities

• Carry-out Auto Electrical diagnostics and repairs on heavy earthmoving equipment (CAT, Hitachi, Kubota, Kenworth, Volvo, UD) and light vehicles.
• Air conditioning diagnostics and repairs.

Job description

We're Looking for a qualifiedAuto Electricianto work on our fleet of over 50 vehicles and 100 Heavy Earth moving machinery and join our Team in a long term role.

The role involves Field Service Hervey Bay and Maryborough regions as well as working alongside the workshop team, withfull access to diagnostic information and product knowledge specialists.

• We offer on-going training and development opportunities for you to upskill to align with the evolving industry.

This is a full-time permanent position, working hours will be Monday – Thursday from 06:30am to 4:30pm, Fridays from 06:30am to 2:30pm.

As part of your role your key responsibilities will be:

• Carry-out Auto Electrical diagnostics and repairs on heavy earthmoving equipment CAT, Hitachi, Kubota, Highway Trucks Kenworth, Volvo, UD and light vehicles Toyota, Hino and Isuzu.
• Air conditioning diagnostics and repairs

About You

• A minimum of 5 years post trade experience
• Air Conditioning licence (Current)
• Basic electrical aptitude and mobile equipment experience
• Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised in a fast-paced team environment
• Sound computer skills (CAT E.T. Experience advantageous)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Possess a strong initiative in problem solving and decision-making skills
• Strong commitment to working at a high standard with emphasis on quality workmanship & work ethics
• Current Manual Driver's License
• Committed to workplace health & safety
• Reliable, self-motivated with good time management skills

The following desired but not essential:

• HR or HC License an advantage
