Job summary

Autonomy & Asset Management Group in Bowen Basin is seeking an experienced HV Electrician to service a fleet of heavy mobile mining equipment on a 7/7 roster. The role emphasizes inspection, fault finding, and repair of high-voltage systems with safety and quality at the forefront.

You will join the Mobile Maintenance team, performing diagnostics, preventative maintenance and repairs, while maintaining thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology (or equivalent) required.
• Current Queensland Electrical Licence required.
• Current HV Switching qualification required.
• Current CPR/LVR certification required.
• Standard 11 competency.
• Coal Board Medical or willingness to obtain.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults on high-voltage electrical systems on heavy mobile mining equipment.
• Maintain and repair inverters, converters, traction motors and HV batteries.
• Perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on heavy mobile equipment.
• Complete inspections and testing per OEM and site requirements.
• Utilise diagnostic software and specialised testing equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Work safely in line with site procedures and regulatory requirements.

AAMG is currently seeking an experienced High Voltage Electrician to join a leading mining operation in the Bowen Basin. This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing work on a family-friendly 7/7 rotating day and night roster, working on a fleet of heavy mobile mining equipment.

About the Role

Working within the Mobile Maintenance team, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of high-voltage systems on heavy mobile mining equipment while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults on high-voltage electrical systems
• Maintain and repair inverters, converters, traction motors, HV batteries and associated components
• Perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on heavy mobile equipment
• Complete inspections and testing in accordance with OEM and site requirements
• Utilise diagnostic software and specialised testing equipment
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Work safely in accordance with site procedures and statutory requirements

About You - To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology (or equivalent trade qualification)
• Current Queensland Electrical Licence
• Current HV Switching qualification
• Current CPR/LVR
• Standard 11
• Coal Board Medical (or willing to obtain)
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
• Proven experience as an HV Electrician on heavy mobile mining equipment
• Experience working on CAT, Komatsu and/or Liebherr equipment highly regarded
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across HV electrical systems
• Commitment to safe work practices and quality workmanship
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
