Job summary

Liebherr Australia seeks an experienced Electrical Technician for Peak Downs Mine Site. You’ll join a team on a 7 days on/7 days off roster, working days and night shifts, delivering diagnostic, maintenance and component replacement services on Liebherr mining equipment.

Essential qualifications include a recognised Australian trade qualification, electrical licence with high voltage certification, and haul truck experience. Opportunities for technical training and career progression are offered.

• Deliver safe, efficient and compliant maintenance and component replacement services.

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Electrical Technician to join our team at Peak Downs Mine Site, working a balanced 7 days on / 7 days off roster, rotating days and nights.

Reporting to the Customer Support Manager, you'll play a vital role in keeping our equipment performing at its best, delivering safe, efficient and compliant diagnostic, maintenance and component replacement services.

Key Responsbilities

What You’ll Be Doing

As a valued member of our site team, you will:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults.
• Identify and diagnose faults across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical components.
• Carry out repairs and servicing across all site OEM equipment.
• Safely operate workshop equipment, including mobile lifting equipment.

What You’ll Bring

We're looking for a technically capable tradesperson who takes pride in their work, values safety and enjoys the challenge of working with advanced mining equipment.

Essential requirements:

• Recognised Australian Trade Qualification.
• Electrical Licence coupled with High Voltage Certification.
• Previous haul truck experience.

Highly regarded:

• High Risk Work Licences – LF (Forklift), DG (Dogging) and EWP (Elevated Work Platform).
• Working at Heights Certificate.
