Liebherr-Australia Pty Ltd seeks a permanent residential Field Service Technician to join the on-site team at Boggabri Coal, NSW. This residential role offers long-term career stability within a global OEM and a supportive, safety-focused culture.

You will diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on site machines, perform services, and complete health assessments with accurate reporting. Drivers licence required.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified as Diesel/Mobile Plant Technician with diagnostic fault-finding experience.
• Experience with heavy machinery (R9300/R9400/R9800 Liebherr excavators) preferred.
• Current driver’s licence is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Electrical/Mechanical fault diagnosis and repair on site machinery.
• Carry out major and minor services as directed.
• Maintenance and component replacements across site equipment.
• Complete machine health assessments and reporting.
• Accurate documentation including timesheets and maintenance requests.

We are seeking a permanent residential Field Service Technician to join our team based on site at Boggabri Coal, in the Gunnedah Region of NSW.

The Opportunity

We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Field Service Technician to join our team based on site at Boggabri Coal, in the Gunnedah Region of NSW. This is a residential role, ideally suited to candidates living locally in the region.

Roster – Residential Technician, Boggabri Coal

• 4/5/5/4 pattern (4 days on, 5 days off, 5 days on, 4 days off)
• Day & Night shift rotation
• Start/Finish: Log-on point at Boggabri Coal

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical/ Mechanical diagnosis and repairing of faults on all site machines (Mechanical and Hydraulic fault finding also required).
• Carry out all required major and minor services to site machines as directed.
• Carry out maintenance and component replacements in all areas relative to site responsibilities.
• Complete machine health assessments and appropriate reporting
• Accurate completion of documentation including timesheets, maintenance requests and any site-specific documentation required.

Skills & Experience

About You

• Trade qualified as Diesel / Mobile Plant Mechanic, holding any of the following:
• Certificate III Mobile Plant Technology
• Certificate III Engineering (Mechanical)
• Certificate III Engineering (Mechanical) Diesel Fitter
• Certificate III Automotive Electrical Technology
• Demonstrated diagnostics and fault-finding knowledge.
• Motivation and excellent communication skills.
• Previous experience in a similar role working with heavy machinery (R9300, R9400 & R9800 Liebherr Excavators).
• A current driver’s licence.
