Job summary

Sunshine Coast Civil Pty Ltd is seeking an HSEQ / QA Advisor to be based in Yandina, Queensland. This full-time role ensures operations meet the highest health, safety, environmental and quality standards for safe and efficient project delivery.

You will develop and maintain HSEQ management systems, conduct regular site inspections, provide training, investigate incidents and drive improvements, while liaising with clients and authorities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a HSEQ advisory or management role.
• Experience in the construction industry preferred.
• Proven ability to develop and implement HSEQ systems.
• Strong problem-solving and risk assessment skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

As the HSEQ / QA Advisor at Sunshine Coast Civil Pty Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the company's operations adhere to the highest health, safety, environmental and quality standards. This full-time position is based in Yandina, Queensland, and will be integral to the company's commitment to delivering projects safely and efficiently.

What you'll be doing

• Developing, implementing and maintaining robust health, safety, environmental and quality management systems
• Conducting regular site inspections and audits to identify and address any potential risks or non-conformances
• Providing guidance and training to site teams on all HSEQ policies, procedures and best practices
• Investigating incidents and near misses, and implementing corrective and preventative actions
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards
• Liaising with clients, regulatory authorities and other stakeholders on HSEQ matters
• Continuously improving HSEQ processes and systems to drive operational excellence

What we're looking for

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, such as occupational health and safety, environmental management or quality assurance
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar HSEQ advisory or management role, preferably within the construction industry
• Proven track record of developing and implementing effective HSEQ management systems
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and risk assessment skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Proficiency in using relevant HSEQ software and data management tools
