Job summary

CDC Regional NSW is seeking an HSEQ advisor to support our Regional NSW operations, based at Queanbeyan, Coffs Harbour or Ballina depots. You will work with depot teams and management to ensure compliance with WHS legislation and best practice, and help implement safety policies across sites.

The role requires experience in risk assessments, audits and incident reviews, with training provided for specific tasks.

Qualifications

  • Experience interpreting, advising and applying WHS legislation.
  • Strong knowledge of WHS and industry best practices.
  • Experience developing risk assessments.
  • Experience facilitating WHS audits and inspections.
  • Ability to monitor compliance with policies, procedures and statutory requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and implement change.
  • Skilled to investigate, research and analyse information to create policy/procedures.

Job description

CDC Regional NSW operates from numerous depots from the Ballina, Coffs Harbour and ACT regions.
Working out of either the Queanbeyan, Coffs Harbour or Ballina Depots the HSEQ advisor, plays a key role in supporting the organisation throughout the Regional NSW.

This role reports to the RNSW General Manager with a dotted line to the HSEQ General Manager based in QLD. Working closely with all levels of the organisation you will be comfortable getting out in the depot or into a bus.

Our key focus will be ensuring the right fit for this role supports our team and has an outcome oriented focus.

Experience interpreting, advising and applying WHS legislation

Working knowledge of WHS and industry best practices, and Work Health & Safety

Experience in the writing/development of risk assessments

Experience with facilitating WHS audits & inspections

Ability to monitor and review health & safety documentation, practices for compliance with both policies/procedures/guidelines and statutory requirements

Demonstrated ability to influence and implement change.

Skilled to investigate, research and analyse information to create policy and/or procedures.

A cert IV in OH&S or higher in Work Health and Safety

HLTPAT005 – Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing
-Desirable but we will train you for this

TLIF0005 – Apply a fatigue risk management system
-Desirable but we will train you for this

ICAM or equivalent Incident Management Training Qualification
-Desirable but we will train you in this

Working knowledge of Heavy Vehicle National Law and Regulations
-Desirable but we will train you in this
