Job summary

Epiphany Training + Consulting seeks an HSEQ Advisor to strengthen safety culture across NSW/QLD, focusing on Workers Compensation and Return to Work end-to-end management. You will engage with injured workers, insurers and providers, manage RTW plans, and contribute to ISO audits and HSEQ system improvements.

You will investigate incidents, review SWMS and safety communications, and support site inductions and training initiatives while travelling to NSW/QLD sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in an HSEQ role such as HSEQ Advisor or Safety Advisor.
• Demonstrated Workers Compensation and Return to Work experience.
• Knowledge of Australian WHS legislation.
• Experience with ISO-certified management systems (9001/14001/45001).
• Strong incident investigation and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage Workers Compensation claims end to end and RTW planning.
• Build relationships with injured workers in a supportive, objective way.
• Liaise with insurers, claims agents, rehabilitation providers and practitioners.
• Manage certificates of capacity, RTW plans and documentation.
• Investigate incidents, hazards and near misses and implement corrective actions.
• Support ISO re-certification audits and HSEQ system maintenance.
• Analyse HSEQ data and prepare reports for management.
• Travel across NSW and Queensland sites as required.

Job Purpose

The HSEQ Advisor will work alongside the National HSEQ Manager and play a key role in strengthening Retro Traffic's safety culture across the NSW and Queensland operations, with a particular focus on end-to-end management of Workers Compensation and Return to Work (RTW).

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Workers Compensation claims end to end, including early intervention, injury management and Return to Work planning and case strategy.
• Build and manage relationships with injured workers in a manner that is supportive, objective and commercially disciplined.
• Liaise with insurers, claims agents, rehabilitation providers, treating practitioners and other external stakeholders.
• Manage certificates of capacity, suitable duties and RTW plans, maintaining clear documentation, timelines and file notes.
• Understand and assess claim liability, escalating matters requiring specialist advice where appropriate.
• Analyse injury and claims trends to help reduce injury frequency and claim duration/cost.
• Support the ongoing development and maintenance of the HSEQ Management System.
• Investigate incidents, hazards and near misses, identifying root causes and ensuring corrective actions are completed.
• Develop and review SWMS, Safe Operating Procedures, toolbox talks and safety communications.
• Conduct internal audits and assist with external ISO re-certification audits (9001, 14001, 45001).
• Monitor corrective actions, NCRs and compliance registers.
• Analyse HSEQ data and prepare reports for management.
• Support site inspections, deliver inductions and assist with HSEQ training initiatives.
• Build strong working relationships with operational teams, clients and external stakeholders.

Qualifications and Competencies

• Experience in an HSE Advisor, Safety Advisor, HSEQ Coordinator or similar role.
• Demonstrated experience managing Workers Compensation claims and Return to Work processes end to end.
• Knowledge of Australian WHS legislation.
• Experience working within ISO-certified management systems (9001, 14001, 45001).
• Strong incident investigation and reporting skills.
• Confidence to challenge or escal... etc...
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels of the business.
• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel across NSW and Queensland sites.
