Job summary

iContracting Group is seeking an experienced HSEQ Advisor to provide holiday coverage on a major BHP site during the Christmas and New Year shutdown period. The role requires strong mining safety experience and the ability to support busy operations with immediate, on-site guidance.

You will interact with site teams, conduct risk assessments and investigations, and ensure compliance with WA Mines Safety standards.

Qualifications

• Site experience as a HSEQ Advisor in civil construction or mining operations.
• Strong knowledge of WA Mines Safety legislation and industry standards.
• Effective communicator with crews and clients.
• Incident investigation and risk management frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-the-ground HSEQ support across civil and mining operations.
• Facilitate risk assessments and drive safe work practices.
• Conduct workplace inspections and hazard reporting; assist investigations.
• Support rollout of safety initiatives and compliance frameworks.
• Mentor operators and supervisors on HSEQ compliance and improvement.
• Maintain safety documentation per company requirements.

About The Opportunity

Looking for an experienced HSEQ Advisor to provide holiday coverage on a major BHP site during the Christmas and New Year shutdown period.

This is an excellent opportunity for a safety professional with strong mining experience who can step into a busy operational environment and provide immediate support to site teams.

Coverage Dates

• 21 December 2026 - 24 December 2026
• 28 December 2026 - 31 December 2026
• 4/3 Roster

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on-the-ground HSEQ support across civil and mining operations
• Facilitate risk assessments (Take Control, JHAs, TBRA) and drive safe work practices
• Conduct workplace inspections, hazard reporting, and assist with incident investigations
• Support the rollout of company safety initiatives and compliance frameworks
• Mentor and coach operators and supervisors on HSEQ compliance and continuous improvement
• Maintain accurate safety documentation in line with company requirements

About You

• Previous site experience as a HSEQ Advisor in civil construction or mining operations
• Strong knowledge of WA Mines Safety legislation and industry standards
• Effective communicator with the ability to engage with both crews and clients
• Competent in incident investigation and risk management frameworks
• Cert IV WHS or equivalent qualification
• ICAM training (desirable)
