Job summary

SRG Global is seeking safety professionals for a FIFO role based in Perth, servicing shutdown projects for Tier-one clients in the Pilbara region. The ideal candidate will provide HSE support, training, and organizational maintenance to enhance operations.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Iron Ore Fixed Plant Processing.
  • Current C Class Driver’s License is mandatory.
  • Training in Incident Cause Analysis Method (ICAM) is desirable.

Job description

Seeking safety professionals with a strong background in supporting electrical, mechanical and access works. This will be a casual FIFO role from Perth (only) servicing several of our long‑term and ongoing shutdown project works for our Tier‑one clients across the Pilbara and Port Hedland region.

The successful candidate will assist with the ongoing and day‑to‑day provision of HSE support, advice, training, mentoring, reporting functions and systems maintenance for our SRG Global Asset Maintenance Pilbara operations and to assist the HSE Superintendent with the implementation and maintenance of the organisation's HSE management system, plans and specific programs with regards to maintenance projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure employees are undertaking activities safely and to the highest level of quality as per site requirements.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections, monitoring and analysis of work areas in conjunction with operational personnel.
  • Address site safety concerns and problems and recommend solutions to key personnel.
  • Provide safety and quality event management advice and support to site personnel.
  • Lead and run investigations of site safety and quality events from end to end.
  • Maintain knowledge of all industry applicable rules and regulations including government regulations, standards and policies.
  • Collaboration with Management in the development of project risk assessments.
  • Provide guidance and support to site personnel as required for the development and review of team‑based risk assessments.
  • Assist with identifying, developing, conducting and improving health, safety and quality training and orientation programs to educate project employees on health, safety and quality risks within the business.
  • Report activities as required to the HSE Superintendent.
  • Attend and contribute to the scheduled Safety meetings with our client and within the group.
  • Provide assistance to other HSE department staff members as required through sharing knowledge and assisting with workloads.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Iron Ore Fixed Plant Processing Experience
  • Certificate IV in WHS (Mandatory)
  • Current C Class Driver’s License (Mandatory)
  • Incident Cause Analysis Method (ICAM) Training (Desirable)
  • Good working knowledge of WHS Legislation
  • Strong computer software skills including MS Office, Outlook and MyOSH
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • High attention to detail and data processing accuracy
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise a diverse range of tasks
  • Ability to pass pre‑employment medical, inclusive of D&A screen
