Job summary

BG&E, now part of the SYSTRA Group, seeks an HSEQ Advisor to lead safety and quality culture across NSW and NZ operations. You will mentor staff, drive risk-based decisions and ensure compliant, high-quality project delivery through proactive risk management and continual process improvement.

You will conduct audits, support ISO certifications, and manage incidents using ICAM methodologies, with effective communication to leadership and regional leads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Science, OHS or similar.
• 5+ years' experience delivering engineering/construction projects with reporting, auditing, safety in design and quality controls.
• Detailed knowledge of current WHS/Environmental legislation and technical standards in NSW.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME, coach teams to foster HSEQ culture and risk-based decisions.
• Drive IMS continuous improvement, identify trends, streamline processes, provide compliance reporting.
• Assist project teams with Management Plans, Safety in Design and Risk Workshops (HAZOP).
• Conduct internal audits, office inspections, and support ISO accreditation audits (ISO 9001/14001/45001).
• Support incident investigations (ICAM), track corrective actions, share lessons learned.
