Job summary

AusNet is seeking a Head of HSE Enablement to lead the enterprise HSE enablement function within the People & Safety group. This senior role focuses on shaping frameworks, governance and specialist approaches to improve safety performance and data-led decision making.

You will oversee critical risk, environment, contractor safety and occupational health, driving enterprise-wide standards and capabilities while partnering with leaders to strengthen ownership and assurance across AusNet.

Qualifications

• Senior HSE leadership in a complex, high-risk environment.
• Expertise in critical risk, critical controls and enterprise HSE management systems.
• Experience developing enterprise frameworks, governance and performance approaches.
• Strong data, systems and analytical thinking.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary specialists and building technical capability.
• Influencing skills and credibility with senior leaders.
• Knowledge of applicable HSE legislation and ISO management system standards.

Responsibilities

• Shaping enterprise HSE frameworks and systems, translating strategy into standards, governance and implementation.
• Leading our critical risk and control approach, strengthening risk understanding and control effectiveness.
• Turning data and learning into insight, connecting incidents and performance information to identify systemic issues.
• Setting enterprise approaches across HSE disciplines including environment and occupational health.
• Overseeing contractor and delivery partner HSE with procurement and operations.
• Building enterprise HSE capability and governance.
• Leading a multidisciplinary specialist team and building capability.
