Northfleet is actively seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Coordinator in Perth, WA. The role supports development, implementation and continuous improvement of HSE systems and initiatives, partnering with leaders to strengthen safety culture, ensure compliance and protect people and the environment.

You will provide practical advice, lead risk assessments, deliver training, conduct investigations and report on HSE performance to the leadership team.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent).
• At least 3 years in a hands-on WHS/HSE role in operational environments.
• Working knowledge of the WHS Act 2020 (WA) and Regulations 2022.
• Experience leading root-cause investigations and risk assessments.
• Strong communication and coaching skills with frontline workers and leaders.
• A current WA driver’s licence and willingness to travel between sites.
• Diploma of WHS or related qualification; ISO 45001 experience; internal auditor certification.

Responsabilités

• Provide practical HSE advice and guidance to leaders and employees.
• Implement critical risk register and verification programs; run field verifications.
• Promote a proactive culture of safety, wellbeing and continuous improvement.
• Deliver HSE training, coaching and competency programs.
• Lead investigations using root-cause methods and close corrective actions.
• Manage notifiable incidents to LGIRS and regulators within timeframes.
• Develop and improve HSE policies, SWMS, JSAs, permits and forms.
• Conduct inspections, audits and compliance activities.
• Own environmental compliance including waste, spill response, and hazardous substances.
• Report monthly on HSE performance, trends and priorities to leadership.
