Job summary

AusNet Services Ltd. is seeking a Head of HSE Enablement to lead an enterprise HSE Enablement function. The role focuses on shaping frameworks, governance and specialist approaches while partnering with leaders who own operational risk.

The successful candidate will influence strategic and practical levels, oversee critical risk management, environment, contractor safety and data-driven performance improvements, and drive enterprise capability across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Senior HSE leadership experience in a complex, high-risk environment.
• Strong expertise in critical risk, critical controls and enterprise HSE management systems.
• Experience developing enterprise frameworks, governance and performance approaches.
• Strong data, systems and analytical thinking, turning complex information into practical insight.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary specialists and building technical capability.
• Strong influencing skills and credibility with senior operational and functional leaders.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and strong knowledge of applicable HSE legislation, regulatory requirements and ISO management system standards.

Responsibilities

• Shaping enterprise HSE frameworks and systems, translating strategy into practical standards, governance and implementation approaches.
• Leading the critical risk and control approach, strengthening management of material HSE risks and control effectiveness.
• Turning data and learning into insight, linking incidents, assurance and performance information to identify systemic issues.
• Setting enterprise approaches across key HSE disciplines including environment, contractor safety, psychosocial and occupational health, injury management and technical capability.
• Building enterprise HSE capability, strengthening competency, learning pathways and governance.
• Leading a multidisciplinary specialist team and building partnerships across AusNet.
