Job summary

Monadelphous is seeking an experienced HSE Coordinator to join our Brisbane Operations team, based in our Brisbane Head Office. You will drive the implementation of the HSE strategy, management systems and initiatives across multiple operations, providing expert advice and assurance to ensure compliance and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Diploma in OHS/WHS or higher is essential.
• 2+ years experience in a similar position (HSE Coordinator or equivalent).
• Solid knowledge of HSE legislation, management systems and risk concepts.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and leadership abilities.
• Proven incident investigation capability and corrective action experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver HSE support, advice, assurance activities, investigations, audits, inspections, and training across Brisbane Operations.
• Partner with business leaders to drive risk management and embed a proactive safety culture.
• Develop and deliver HSE training and competency initiatives including Training Needs Analysis.
• Develop, implement and improve HSE systems, processes and standards to meet compliance.
• Lead, coach and influence stakeholders to promote safety and accountability.
• Occasional travel to site for short periods.

Job description

Monadelphous is seeking an experienced HSE Coordinator to join our Brisbane Operations team, based in our Brisbane Head Office.

This is a fast-paced position responsible for driving the implementation of HSE strategy, management systems, and initiatives across our NSW, QLD, Victoria and PNG operations. Working closely with operational leaders, project teams, and key stakeholders, you will provide expert HSE advice and assurance, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, company standards, and industry best practice while fostering a strong safety culture and delivering continuous improvement in HSE performance

Key responsibilities include:

• Deliver HSE support, advice, assurance activities, investigations, audits, inspections, and training across Brisbane Operations to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
• Partner with business leaders and project teams to drive risk management, improve HSE performance, and embed a proactive safety culture
• Support the development and delivery of HSE training and competency initiatives, including Training Needs Analysis (TNA), identification of competency gaps, training planning, delivery and evaluation of training effectiveness.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve HSE systems, processes, standards, and business unit plans to support operational requirements and legislative compliance.
• Lead, coach, and influence stakeholders at all levels to build capability, accountability, and a culture where "The Safe Way is the Only Way."
• Occasional travel to site for short amounts of time

What you will bring

• Diploma in OHS/WHS or higher - essential.
• At least 2 years experience in a similar position
• Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, management systems, risk management principles, and industry best practice, with the ability to effectively manage risk and drive compliance.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence, coach, and support teams in achieving positive HSE outcomes
• Demonstrated incident investigation capability, including the ability to lead significant investigations, identify underlying and systemic causes, develop effective corrective actions, and coach and support site HSE personnel and operational leaders through the investigation process
• Proof of right to work in Australia
