Job summary

Monadelphous Group is seeking an experienced HSE Coordinator to join our Brisbane Operations team, based in our Brisbane Head Office. You will drive the implementation of HSE strategy and systems across multiple operations, providing expert advice and assurance while fostering a strong safety culture.

Partner with leaders, lead investigations, and deliver training to improve HSE performance and ensure legislative compliance. Occasional site travel is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in OHS/WHS or higher.
• At least 2 years in a similar position.
• Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, management systems and risk management.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

Monadelphous is seeking an experienced HSE Coordinator to join our Brisbane Operations team, based in our Brisbane Head Office.

This is a fast-paced position responsible for driving the implementation of HSE strategy, management systems, and initiatives across our NSW, QLD, Victoria and PNG operations. Working closely with operational leaders, project teams, and key stakeholders, you will provide expert HSE advice and assurance, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, company standards and industry best practice while fostering a strong safety culture and delivering continuous improvement in HSE performance

Key responsibilities include:

• Deliver HSE support, advice, assurance activities, investigations, audits, inspections, and training across Brisbane Operations to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
• Partner with business leaders and project teams to drive risk management, improve HSE performance, and embed a proactive safety culture
• Support the development and delivery of HSE training and competency initiatives, including Training Needs Analysis (TNA), identification of competency gaps, training planning, delivery and evaluation of training effectiveness.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve HSE systems, processes, standards, and business unit plans to support operational requirements and legislative compliance.
• Lead, coach, and influence stakeholders at all levels to build capability, accountability, and a culture where "The Safe Way is the Only Way."
• Occasional travel to site for short amounts of time

What you will bring

• Diploma in OHS/WHS or higher – essential.
• At least 2 years experience in a similar position
• Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, management systems, risk management principles, and industry best practice, with the ability to effectively manage risk and drive compliance.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence, coach, and support teams in achieving positive HSE outcomes
• Demonstrated incident investigation capability, including the ability to lead significant investigations, identify underlying and systemic causes, develop effective corrective actions, and coach and support site HSE personnel and operational leaders through the investigation process
• Proof of right to work in Australia
