Fetch Recruitment is seeking experienced HSE Advisors (Intermediate and Senior) for multiple opportunities with established Tier 1 and Tier 2 commercial builders across Melbourne. With a strong pipeline of high-value commercial construction projects, these opportunities offer exposure to developments valued up to $300m.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in an HSE, OH&S or WHS role.
• Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
• Must have previous experience in commercial construction with Tier 1/2 builders.
• Strong knowledge of Victorian OHS legislation.
• Excellent communication and ability to influence site safety.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections, safety audits and compliance reviews.
• Review SWMS and risk assessments for high-risk activities.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance and action closed.
• Provide practical HSE advice to site teams.
• Investigate incidents and implement preventative measures.
• Ensure compliance with Victorian OHS legislation and safety requirements.
• Deliver toolbox talks and promote proactive safety culture.
• Collaborate with project teams to maintain safety standards.

The Projects

The Role

These are hands-on, site-based positions where you will work closely with Site Managers, Project Managers, subcontractors and HSE leadership to drive safety performance across major construction projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting site inspections, safety audits and compliance reviews.
• Reviewing SWMS, risk assessments and high-risk construction activities.
• Monitoring subcontractor compliance and following through on corrective actions.
• Providing practical HSE advice and guidance to site teams.
• Investigating incidents, identifying hazards and implementing preventative measures.
• Ensuring compliance with Victorian OHS legislation and project safety requirements.
• Delivering toolbox talks and engaging with workers to promote a proactive safety culture.
• Working alongside project teams to maintain consistent safety standards throughout construction.

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years' experience in an HSE, OH&S or WHS role.
• Minimum Certificate 4 in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
• MUST HAVE Previous experience in commercial construction within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 builder.
• Experience working on complex, high-value construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of Victorian OHS legislation and construction safety requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across site teams and subcontractors.
• A proactive, practical approach to safety and the confidence to influence site behaviours.
