Job summary

Morson Edge seeks an experienced HSE Advisor to join their Sydney team on a long-term casual contract with the opportunity to transition to full-time. You will support multiple commercial construction projects, with site and office work across Greater Sydney, typically Monday to Friday, 7:00am–4:30pm, and occasional travel.

Ideal candidates will hold a Certificate IV in WHS, have proven HSE experience in commercial construction, and be proficient with HammerTech and Procore.

Qualifications

• Previous HSE experience within commercial construction is essential.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management and compliance.
• Confident communicator with a site-focused approach to safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide HSE support across multiple commercial construction sites.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, risk assessments and safety observations.
• Review SWMS, permits and subcontractor safety documentation.
• Manage HSE systems and documentation through HammerTech and Procore.
• Support FSC accreditation requirements and ongoing compliance.
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
• Investigate incidents and close-out corrective actions.
• Deliver toolbox talks, inductions and safety initiatives.
• Work with Site/Project Managers and subcontractors to improve safety.

Morson Edge is partnering with an established Sydney-based commercial builder seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join its team on a long-term casual contract, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent full-time position. Working across a strong pipeline of aged care, education and government projects, this is an excellent opportunity for someone from a commercial construction background looking for consistent long-term work and genuine stability.

The Role

Working between the company's Upper North Shore office and project sites across Greater Sydney, you will provide hands-on HSE support across multiple commercial construction projects. Sites are predominantly Sydney-based, with occasional travel to projects.

The role operates Monday to Friday, approximately 7:00am–4:30pm, with no Saturday work required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide HSE support across multiple commercial construction sites.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, risk assessments and safety observations.
• Review SWMS, permits and subcontractor safety documentation.
• Manage HSE systems and documentation through HammerTech and Procore.
• Support FSC accreditation requirements and ongoing compliance.
• Prepare documentation and project teams for internal and external audits.
• Investigate incidents and manage corrective actions through to close-out.
• Deliver toolbox talks, inductions and safety initiatives.
• Work closely with Site Managers, Project Managers and subcontractors to drive positive safety outcomes.

HSE Advisor – Commercial Construction

About You

• Previous HSE experience within commercial construction is essential – not solely residential/domestic construction.
• Experience across aged care, education, government or similar commercial projects is highly regarded.
• Certificate IV in WHS or relevant safety qualification.
• Experience with HammerTech and Procore.
• Understanding of FSC accreditation and audit requirements.
• Strong knowledge of construction WHS legislation, risk management and compliance.
• Confident communicator with a practical, site-focused approach to safety.
