Verso Constructions Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to support safe delivery of residential projects across South East Queensland. You will work with the HSE Manager, project managers and site teams to promote a strong safety culture, manage risks and ensure regulatory compliance across multiple sites.

This hands-on role offers autonomy, exposure to diverse projects, and the opportunity to influence safety outcomes within a growing construction business.

Qualificações

• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety is the minimum requirement.
• Diploma or higher qualifications are advantageous for progression.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential.
• Experience with WHS legislation and audits is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Implement and maintain project WHS Management Plans and compliance documentation.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments with corrective actions.
• Monitor high-risk activities and review SWMS, permits and subcontractor compliance.
• Coordinate site inductions, toolbox talks and safety training initiatives.
• Assist with incident investigations and reporting of corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate safety records and documentation.
• Provide practical HSE guidance to project teams and subcontractors.
• Promote a positive safety culture through coaching and site engagement.

Verso Construction is seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to support the safe and successful delivery of residential construction projects across South East Queensland.

Working closely with our HSE Manager, Project Managers, Site Managers and subcontractors, you'll play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture, managing construction risks and ensuring compliance with workplace health, safety and environmental requirements.

This is a hands-on role offering exposure across multiple projects, genuine autonomy and the opportunity to influence safety outcomes across a growing construction business.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain project-specific WHS Management Plans, safety procedures and compliance documentation.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments, ensuring hazards and corrective actions are effectively managed.
• Monitor high-risk construction activities and review SWMS, permits and subcontractor compliance documentation.
• Coordinate site inductions, toolbox talks, safety meetings and training initiatives.
• Assist with incident investigations, reporting and the implementation of corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate safety records, registers and compliance documentation.
• Provide practical HSE guidance and support to project teams and subcontractors.
• Promote a positive safety culture through coaching, mentoring and ongoing site engagement.

About You

• Experience in an HSE Advisor or similar role within the Australian construction industry.
• Experience working across residential or multi-residential construction projects highly regarded.
• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety as a minimum; Diploma or higher qualifications advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of Queensland WHS legislation, Codes of Practice and construction safety requirements.
• Experience conducting site inspections, audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proactive, organised and confident working across multiple project sites.
• Experience using HammerTech or similar HSE management systems will be highly regarded.
• Current White Card and Driver's Licence.
