Job summary

Woodplc is seeking experienced HSE Advisors to support the upcoming mid-year FCCU shutdown at the Ampol Lytton Refinery in Brisbane. This is a fast-paced, safety-focused assignment for professionals comfortable in high-risk environments.

Reporting to the Wood T&I HSE Lead, you will mentor blue-collar workers, promote safe behaviour, and ensure compliance with Wood and Ampol procedures. The role involves a 6/1 roster with day and night shifts, work at heights, and a 12–14 week timeline

Qualifications

• Experienced HSE Advisors sought to support a major refinery shutdown.
• Must be confident working in high-risk environments and capable of intervening, coaching, and leading by example.
• Brisbane-based applicants are encouraged to apply and Australian working rights are required.

Responsibilities

• Promote safe behaviours, mentor workers, and support supervision in ensuring compliance with Wood and Ampol procedures and standards.
• Work closely with blue-collar teams in the field to promote safety and compliance.
• Intervene, coach, and lead by example in high-risk environments.
• Operate in work at heights and across elevated locations during the shutdown.
• Support a 6/1 roster with 11-hour shifts, including day and night shifts.
• The shutdown is a 12–14 week project commencing early May at the Brisbane site.
