Placements24 is seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to support operations with a strong focus on safety in the Oil & Gas sector. The role requires leading on-site safety programs, risk assessments, and incident investigations to foster a proactive safety culture.

The ideal candidate holds a Safety Management degree or diploma, 3+ years in HSE, and relevant certifications (SAMTRAC/NEBOSH) with excellent communication and training delivery skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Safety Management, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years as an HSE Officer/Advisor in Oil & Gas.
• Knowledge of South African HSE legislation and industry best practices.
• Certification such as SAMTRAC or NEBOSH is advantageous.
• Experience in developing and delivering safety training.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and incident investigation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies and procedures across sites.
• Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure safety compliance.
• Perform risk assessments, hazard identification, and control measures.
• Investigate HSE incidents, near misses, and accidents; report findings and corrective actions.

About the Role

This role is critical for ensuring a safe working environment and compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the Oil & Gas industry . You will be responsible for implementing HSE policies, conducting risk assessments, delivering training, and investigating incidents to promote a strong safety culture. Your dedication to maintaining the highest HSE standards will be paramount in protecting our workforce and the environment, requiring a consistent on-site presence to effectively manage safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
