Qualifications

• National Diploma or Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
• Min 3 years' experience as a Safety Officer, preferably in mining or heavy industry.
• Knowledge of South African mining legislation and Mine Health and Safety Act.
• Strong risk assessment and incident investigation capabilities.
• Excellent communication and training abilities.
• First Aid certification and emergency response readiness.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce health and safety policies and procedures across the mine site.
• Conduct site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and non-compliance.
• Investigate accidents and near-misses; prepare detailed reports and corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and contractors.
