Job summary

UGL is recruiting an HSE Advisor for a major BESS project in Victoria, joining a site-based team to drive a strong safety culture across civil, electrical, high‑voltage and commissioning activities. You will partner with frontline crews, supervisors and project leaders, coach safe behaviours, support the HSE Management System, and ensure consistent application of safety practices on site.

The role is hands-on, FIFO/DIDO rostered, and offers career development within a leading renewable energy

Qualifications

• Experience as an HSE Advisor in renewable energy construction projects.
• Comfortable FIFO/DIDO working on a roster basis.
• Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety or equivalent.
• Ability to work autonomously while remaining highly team focused. Strong site presence and practical approach to compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on, day-to-day HSE support across site activities.
• Support pre-starts, toolbox talks and on-site safety conversations.
• Conduct regular site walks, inspections and safety interactions.
• Assist with incident reporting, investigations and follow-up actions. Manage HSE documentation, reporting and compliance with UGL’s HSE Management System.
