Job summary

UGL Pty Limited is leading a major BESS project in Victoria, delivering hands-on HSE leadership on-site to ensure safe delivery of civil, electrical, HV, and commissioning activities.

As an HSE Advisor, you will coach frontline crews, support toolbox talks, and drive a strong safety culture across the project, with FIFO/DIDO roster suitability and a focus on compliant practices throughout site operations.

Qualifications

• Experience as an HSE Advisor in renewable energy construction projects.
• Ability to work autonomously while remaining highly team focused.
• Strong site presence and practical approach to compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on, day-to-day HSE support across site activities.
• Support pre-starts, toolbox talks and on-site safety conversations.
• Conduct regular site walks, inspections and safety interactions.
• Assist with incident reporting, investigations and follow-up actions.
• Manage HSE documentation, reporting and compliance with UGL’s HSE Management System.

As an HSE Advisor, you'll join a major utility‑scale BESS project in Victoria, partnering with frontline crews, supervisors and project leaders to drive a strong safety culture and support the safe delivery of civil, electrical, high‑voltage and commissioning activities.

About the role
