Job Description
The About

Our client is a respected provider of specialised pumping, dewatering, dredging, and fluid management solutions, supporting mining and heavy industry across Australia.

Operating across both site-based and operational environments, the business places a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and compliance, not as a formality, but as a core part of how they protect their people, deliver for clients, and maintain high standards across all operations.

As the company continues to grow, they are now seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to play a key role in strengthening systems, structures, and long-term performance across the business.

The Opportunity

This is not a “maintain the paperwork” role, this is a build, embed, and elevate opportunity.

You will take ownership of developing, implementing, and driving the systems that underpin how the business operates across safety, quality, and compliance. Working closely with the Managing Director, leadership team, and operational staff, you will create practical and effective systems that improve performance, reduce risk, and support a proactive safety culture.

This role involves a balance of office-based and site engagement, with travel to site required a minimum of3–5 days per month to engage with teams, assess operations, and ensure systems are effectively embedded.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys influencing culture, building frameworks, and making a tangible impact across multiple operational environments.

The Tasks Ahead:
Safety Management Systems
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive safety management system
  • Conduct site safety assessments, hazard identification, and risk reviews
  • Lead incident investigations and corrective action processes
  • Deliver safety training and awareness programs
  • Monitor performance, reporting, and analytics
  • Support inductions and ensure operational compliance
ISO & Quality Systems
  • Lead ISO accreditation across Environment, OHS, and Quality (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001)
  • Develop and maintain management system documentation
  • Coordinate internal audits, certification processes, and reviews
  • Implement quality management processes and performance metrics
  • Drive continuous improvement and system integration across the business
Compliance & Risk
  • Monitor regulatory requirements and ensure ongoing compliance
  • Conduct compliance audits and reporting
  • Develop compliance documentation and corrective action plans
  • Build and maintain a risk management framework and risk register
  • Integrate safety, quality, and compliance data into reporting systems

You will also work closely with leadership teams, contribute to monthly safety meetings, and hold stop-work authority for safety-related matters.

About You

You are a structured and systems-focused professional who can translate complex requirements into practical, usable processes.

You bring a strong background in safety, quality, or compliance within industrial or operational environments and are confident influencing both leadership and frontline teams. You don’t just develop policies, you ensure they are embedded, understood, and effectively used in the real world.

You are proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing office-based responsibilities with regular site engagement.

PLEASE NOTE: Only applicants residing in WA with full Australian working rights will be reviewed. We appreciate your interest, however applicants based interstate or overseas will not be accepted.
