Job summary

Harmony is seeking a People & Culture Superintendent to lead HR for the Eva Copper Project during construction. You will drive workforce planning, recruitment, IR, contractor oversight, culture and wellbeing to safely deliver activities on time and within budget.

You will provide strategic and operational HR leadership, ensuring governance, compliance and a high-performance culture in partnership with project leadership and stakeholders. This is a two-year fixed-term contract.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years HR experience in a complex operational environment.
• Demonstrated experience supporting large-scale construction, infrastructure, mining, resources, or project environments.
• Strong employee and industrial relations experience.
• Sound understanding of Australian employment legislation and industrial frameworks.
• Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the project workforce strategy to support all construction phases.
• Forecast workforce requirements to meet project schedules and milestones.
• Partner with project leaders to identify workforce risks and mitigation strategies.
• Oversee mobilisation and onboarding processes for employees and contractors.
• Ensure workforce plans align with project budget and resource forecasts.
• Provide expert advice on employment legislation, policies, procedures, and industrial instruments.
• Support leaders in managing employee relations matters.
• Minimise workforce disruption through proactive issue resolution and risk management.
• Partner with project leaders to build leadership capability and people management effectiveness.
• Embed Harmony values across the project workforce.
• Drive engagement, inclusion and cultural initiatives.
• Support change management associated with workforce growth and project evolution.
• Coach leaders to manage teams in a dynamic construction environment.
• Establish governance for contractor workforce practices and monitor compliance.
• Promote consistent workforce standards across organisations on site.
• Lead performance management processes and workforce productivity initiatives.
• Develop reporting and analytics to inform workforce decisions.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Work, WHS, EEO, policies and standards; support audits.
