Job summary

GHD will welcome an experienced HR Process Workflow Specialist in Newcastle, NSW to join the People Operations team. You will design and automate HR workflows in Oracle Cloud HCM, turning complex business rules into precise configurations and governance.

You’ll collaborate across internal services to streamline the employee lifecycle, maintain comprehensive documentation, and lead testing and adoption to ensure scalable, compliant system-led processes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years blending HR process mapping with technical system configurations.
• Hands-on experience configuring Oracle Cloud HCM workflows.
• Strong experience creating BRDs, FSDs and process documents.
• Proficient with visualization tools (Lucidchart/MS Visio/Miro).
• Solid understanding of Lean, Six Sigma and governance for digital workspaces.
• Proven track record collaborating with non-HR stakeholders to deliver enterprise workflows.

Responsibilities

• Audit and optimize HR processes across the employee lifecycle to reduce bottlenecks.
• Architect and map Oracle Cloud HCM workflows to business requirements.
• Establish workflow governance aligning with compliance, data security and global HR rules.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure end-to-end data integration and fluidity.
• Maintain documentation including process maps, configuration logs and SOPs.
• Lead testing (functional and UAT) and support adoption through workshops.

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for a highly collaborative HR Process Workflow Specialist to join our People Operations team.

You will drive the optimization, governance, and automation of our human resource workflows, uncover operational bottlenecks, and re‑engineer them into efficient, automated, system‑led workflows within Oracle Cloud HCM.

You will (not limited to):

• Audit & Optimize HR Processes: Evaluate manual handoffs and bottlenecks across the employee life cycle to design leaner, standardized processes.
• Architect Oracle Workflows: Map complex business requirements directly into Oracle Cloud HCM configurations
• Establish Workflow Governance: Ensure governance frameworks are met for system changes, ensuring workflow modifications align with compliance standards, data security policies, and global HR rules.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner actively across internal business services teams and systems to ensure end-to-end process and data integration and fluidity.
• Maintain Comprehensive Documentation: Author, update, and own critical technical and functional artifacts, including process maps, technical configuration logs, system runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Bridge Strategy & Technology: Translate complex HR business rules into precise technical configurations
• Manage Workflow Testing: Lead functional configuration testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across intersecting business functions for all newly deployed system pathways.
• Support Adoption & Training: Facilitate collaborative workshops and change‑management initiatives to support diverse business teams through system updates and process changes.

What would you bring to the team?

• Experience: 7+ years of experience blending HR process mapping and technical system configurations.
• Oracle HCM Knowledge: Hands‑on experience working with or configuring workflows within Oracle Cloud HCM / Fusion Applications.
• Documentation Mastery: Deep experience creating detailed functional specification documents, business requirements documents (BRDs), and process flowcharts.
• Process Mapping Tools: High proficiency with visualization software such as Lucidchart, MS Visio, or Miro.
• Methodology: Strong understanding of continuous improvement frameworks (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) and workflow governance structures applied to digital workspaces.
• Strong Collaboration TrackRecord: Proven success collaborating with stakeholders outside of HR, to deliver unified enterprise workflows.
