Job summary

Spiecapag Australia is seeking an HR Operations Advisor to provide practical HR advice across head office and project environments, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management and employee relations.

The role supports payroll, workforce reporting and HR systems, with travel to project sites and FIFO/DIDO environments as required. A commercially minded HR professional will drive culture and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent.
• Experience in an HR advisory or coordination role, ideally in construction, mining, oil and gas, infrastructure or another project-based sector.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment law, industrial instruments and workplace relations practices.
• Experience supporting both blue-collar and white-collar employees across multi-site operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical, timely HR advice and support to managers and employees across corporate and project environments.
• Guide leaders through performance management, goal setting, feedback, appraisals and employee development processes.
• Support recruitment activities, including advertising, screening, interviewing and selection.
• Coordinate onboarding, mobilisation, induction, offboarding and exit processes.
• Assist with employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary processes, investigations and conflict resolution.
• Prepare formal HR correspondence and support fair, consistent outcomes.
• Provide guidance on employment conditions, policies, Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements and Fair Work requirements.
• Support visa processing, right-to-work checks, pre-employment screening and workforce compliance.
• Maintain accurate employee records, contracts and data across HRIS and payroll systems.
• Support payroll processing by validating timesheets, allowances and entitlements.
• Prepare HR reporting including headcount, turnover and training compliance.
• Coordinate project-specific training, licences, qualifications, inductions and certifications.
