Job description

VINCI is a world leader in concessions, energy and construction, operating in more than 120 countries with a workforce of over 294,000 employees. We are a global group with strong local delivery capability.

Spiecapag Australia has been delivering large-scale pipeline infrastructure, trenchless construction and drilling projects across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region for more than 20 years. With continued growth and a strong focus on safety leadership, we are seeking a HR Operations Advisor to join our HR Team and provide trusted, practical HR support across our corporate and project environments.

About this role

Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, the HR Operations Advisor provides comprehensive HR advice, support and consultancy to managers and employees across both head office and site-based environments.

Partnering closely with leaders, employees and project teams, you will support the consistent and compliant delivery of recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, workforce planning, policy implementation and offboarding activities.

This is a varied, hands‑on role suited to an adaptable HR professional who can apply sound judgement and HR best practice across a diverse workforce - from corporate employees to project-based and FIFO/DIDO construction crews.

You will also assist with workplace relations matters, maintain accurate employee records and HR systems, support payroll and workforce reporting, and contribute to positive workplace culture, wellbeing and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role is primarily head office based and requires a willingness to travel to project sites and work within remote, site-based or FIFO/DIDO environments when required.

  • Coordinate employee onboarding, mobilisation, induction, offboarding and exit processes
  • Assist with employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary processes, investigations and conflict resolution
  • Prepare formal HR correspondence and support fair, consistent and procedurally sound outcomes
  • Provide guidance on employment conditions, company policies, Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements and Fair Work requirements
  • Support visa processing, right-to-work checks, pre-employment screening and workforce compliance
  • Maintain accurate employee records, contracts and data across HRIS and payroll systems
  • Support payroll processing by validating timesheets, allowances and employee entitlements
  • Prepare HR reporting, including headcount, turnover, workforce movements and training compliance
  • Coordinate project-specific training, licences, qualifications, inductions and certifications
  • Support site leaders with workforce matters, union engagement protocols and project industrial relations strategies when required
  • Promote employee engagement, wellbeing and a positive workplace culture in collaboration with project and HSE teams
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR systems, processes, service delivery and operational efficiency

Desirable
  • Experience in remote, site-based or FIFO/DIDO environments
  • Exposure to payroll systems, workforce reporting and HR data analytics
  • Experience supporting visa applications, project industrial relations or union interactions
