Job summary

McCosker Contracting Pty Ltd is seeking an HR Officer in Gladstone, QLD to partner with site leaders and manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and HR program delivery.

You will support day-to-day HR operations, coordinate recruitment and mobilisation activities, manage HR data, and respond to queries, working with a collaborative HR team across McCosker’s projects.

Job description

McCosker are inviting applications for a HR Officer to join our team in Gladstone, QLD.

• Monday to Friday
• Flexible with work hours
• Casual arrangement for approximately 6 months

Our HR team is experienced, collaborative, and connected to the business, partnering with site leaders to source and engage a skilled workforce. As HR Officer, you will be a key part in delivering that partnership, owning end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and HR program delivery across McCosker's projects.

Supporting day-to-day HR operations, you’ll be working collaboratively across the team to coordinate recruitment and mobilisation activities, manage HR data, respond to internal and external queries. You’ll need to be organised, proactive, and work well in a team.

This Position Will

• Coordinate recruitment and selection to support the workforce plan
• Coordinate onboarding, competency compliance, and site mobilisation
• Collaborate with hiring managers and site leaders
• Actively uphold company policies and compliance standards across all work.

Experience And Skills

• Relevant experience in recruitment and onboarding processes
• Intermediate MS Office and can learn HR Information Systems.
• Sound knowledge of the HR employee lifecycle practices, NES, awards, and enterprise agreements
• Confident communicator who can collaborate with leaders at all levels
• High level of discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
• Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and sharp attention to detail
