Job summary

Civitas Talent is assisting a national professional services firm to appoint an HR Manager on a 12-18 month FTC based in the Sydney CBD. You will be the go-to adviser for partners, business unit leaders and operational managers, oversee complex ER matters and guide big people decisions through a period of growth and a firm-wide rebrand.

This role focuses on running the annual people cycle, delivering change projects from idea to delivery, and coaching the team as you simplify processes and lift

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a People & Culture Manager or HR Manager or senior HRBP
• Strong ER capability and confidence to advise senior stakeholders
• Track record leading projects, change, restructures or process improvements
• Ability to spot issues, shape fixes and drive them with limited direction
• Sound commercial judgement with a practical, hands-on style
• Experience in environments where processes/systems are not fully formed yet
• Experience in professional services, financial services or consulting is highly regarded but not essential

Our client is a national professional services firm that has grown quickly through acquisitions, has a refreshed business services leadership team, and is heading into a firm-wide rebrand. You will keep the day to day running and move the bigger work forward. This is a role for someone who likes building and improving things, not someone looking for a caretaker contract.

What you'll bring

• Significant experience as a People & Culture Manager, HR Manager, Senior HRBP or broad senior generalist
• Strong ER capability and the confidence to advise and challenge senior stakeholders
• A track record of leading projects, change, restructures or process improvements
• The ability to spot an issue, shape a fix and drive it through with limited direction
• Sound commercial judgement and a practical, hands‑on style
• Comfort working where not every process or system is fully formed yet
• Experience in legal, professional services, financial services or consulting is highly regarded, but not essential.
