GH Talent is seeking an HR Manager in Melbourne to lead HR across a private equity backed group. You’ll rebuild the team, partner with senior leaders and drive a people-centric agenda. You’ll have strong autonomy, a direct line to the Group CEO and room to shape the function.
You’ll start by understanding the teams, asking the right questions, and turning insights into action. Expect responsibility for strategy, culture and performance across the group.
This is a brand-new HR Manager role, reporting directly to the Group CEO of a growing, private equity–backed group. After a busy few years of change, the business has settled and is ready to invest properly in its people. This is a place where HR has a genuine seat at the table and is seen as central to where the business is heading. They’re looking for someone to lead HR across the group, rebuild the team and help create a workplace people enjoy being part of.
You’ll have the CEO’s full support and plenty of room to make the role your own.
You’ll be the person leaders turn to, and your advice will be listened to and acted on. You’ll begin by getting to know the teams, asking good questions and working out what’s really going on. Then you’ll get stuck in.
You love HR, and you’re ready for your next step. You’ve got the experience to back it up and the energy to make things happen. You can see the bigger picture, and you’re just as comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get the detail right. When something’s not working, you don’t just flag it. You turn up with an idea of how to fix it.
You don’t need to tick every box. For this team, who you are as a human matters just as much as what’s on your CV.
Our client was family-owned for decades and is now private equity‑backed. It brings together three businesses: automotive, fitness equipment and activewear. With around 92 people across Melbourne and Queensland, it’s big enough to have real structure and ambition, and small enough that you’ll know everyone’s name.
There’s an entrepreneurial spirit here, and a real appetite to bring more energy, connection and fun back into the office. You’ll be based in a lovely space on Toorak Road, Hawthorn East, working 3 days in the office and 2 from home.
