Job summary

Home Care Assistance on the Sunshine Coast seeks a Human Resource Officer / Care Worker Manager to lead and support care staff while ensuring service quality and regulatory compliance.

The role works with Care Partners, Resource Planners and Rostering Manager to maintain a skilled, high-performing team, with a passion for advocacy, staff development and operational excellence in healthcare.

Qualifications

• HR qualification and/or 1–2 years experience in a human resources role, preferably in healthcare or social care.
• Experience with SCHADS Award knowledge.
• Knowledge of the Employment Hero platform (not essential).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with staff and clients; high proficiency in Word and Excel.
• High-level administrative and organisational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct annual Care Worker reviews to evaluate performance and identify growth areas.
• Ensure training requirements for Care Workers are met and ongoing.
• Maintain regular communication with Care Workers to support a positive work environment.
• Advocate for Care Workers and address complaints/incidents promptly.
• Explore and implement sourcing strategies to grow the care team.
• Oversee sick leave and annual leave management for Care Workers.
