Qualifications

We are looking for a Care Worker Manager to join our team on the Sunshine Coast.

Our Sunshine Coast office supports clients across Aged and NDIS from Caloundra to Gympie and Surrounds.Our mission at Home Care Assistance is to change the way the world ages. We provide older adults with quality care that enables them to live happier, healthier lives at home.

Position Overview:

The Care Worker Manager will play a critical role in leading and managing our care staff, ensuring high-quality service delivery to clients. This position involves compliance and ongoing support for care staff, while collaborating with Care Partners, Resource Planners and Rostering Manager to maintain a skilled and efficient team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about advocacy, employee development, and operational excellence in the healthcare sector.

What Attributes You’ll Bring

We are looking for someone who shares our passion for care and is driven to make a meaningful impact. The ideal candidate will have:

• Management Experience: HR qualification and/or 1-2 years experience in a human resources role preferably within the healthcare or social care sector.
• People and Culture: Experience in SCHAD's award knowledge, knowledge of Employment Hero platform (not essential), performance management and motivation of staff.
• Communications: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to advocate effectively for staff and clients, high proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Organisational skills / Attention to Detail: High-level administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Commitment to Excellence: A strong understanding of care regulations and standards, with the commitment to meeting and exceeding care standards.

What Responsibilities You'll Need:

• Conduct annual Care Worker reviews to evaluate performance and identify areas for growth.
• Ensure compliance with training requirements for Care Workers, including ongoing education and skill development.
• Maintain regular communication with Care Workers to foster a supportive work environment.
• Advocate for Care Workers, addressing and resolving complaints and incidents in a timely manner.
• Explore and implement new sourcing strategies to achieve care team growth targets.
• Oversee management of sick leave and annual leave for Care Workers to ensure adequate coverage and resource availability.
• Ensure resources and staffing levels meet the demands of consumers, maintaining service quality and client satisfaction.
