Job summary

Delman Service Centre in Melbourne, Australia seeks an experienced HR Generalist to provide advisory support on policy, awards and procedures, and to coordinate WHS/EHS requirements.

You will manage probation, leave, attendance, investigations, and employee relations, while driving performance reviews, onboarding, and recruitment across sites. A tertiary HR qualification and AHRI membership are desirable.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' HR generalist or advisory experience.
• Hands-on experience coordinating WHS/EHS in a manufacturing, logistics or similar operational environment (desirable).
• Knowledge of Australian employment law, NES, Modern Awards and enterprise agreements, and Victorian OHS/WHS requirements.
• Experience handling employee relations matters with sound judgement.
• Ability to influence and coach managers and employees.
• High attention to detail and discretion with confidential information.
• AHRI membership or similar accreditation (desirable).
• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent, or working towards it (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, sound advice to managers and employees on policy, awards and procedures.
• Manage probation, leave and attendance processes.
• Assist with investigations, disciplinary processes and grievances, maintaining documentation.
• Implement performance reviews and align compensation practices.
• Partner with teams to ensure consistent communication across sites.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment: post ads, shortlist and interview, prepare offers and onboarding.
• Maintain HR data and records; support payroll inputs and policy updates.
• Introduce EHS management practices under Victorian OHS Act and regulations.
• Manage incident reporting and close corrective actions; notify WorkSafe Victoria when required.
