Job summary

APD Global in Australia seeks a Senior HR Advisor to partner with leaders and managers to deliver strategic and operational HR support across the organisation. The role focuses on employee relations, performance management, and organisational change within a fast-paced environment.

You will handle complex cases, ensure compliance with the Fair Work Act and NES, and manage workforce transitions including restructures and terminations while promoting a high-performance culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 7-10+ years HR experience with emphasis on employee relations and performance management.
• Experience managing complex employee relations cases and workplace investigations.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation including the Fair Work Act, NES.
• Ability to partner with senior leaders and influence decisions.
• Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder management.
• Confidentiality and sound judgement.
• AHRI membership or CAHRI certification preferred.
• Experience in consulting or client-facing HR roles.
• Familiarity with state/territory employment laws.
• Willing to complete medical assessment and police clearance.

Responsibilities

• Act as trusted advisor to leaders on performance management.
• Coach managers on employee issues, performance reviews and development plans.
• Facilitate conflict resolution and mediate disputes.
• Guide termination processes with compliance and sensitivity.
• Ensure compliance with Australian labor laws and maintain records.
• Monitor trends in employee relations and performance metrics.
