We are currently seeking an experienced and commercially minded HR Business Partner to support our NSW Operations network. This is a permanent opportunity for a hands-on HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys partnering closely with operational leaders to drive business outcomes.

This role supports multiple sites across NSW, including Wetherill Park (Gyprock & Cemintel), Hebel Somersby, and our broader NSW operational network, requiring flexibility to travel regularly and maintain a strong site presence.

About the Role

As the HR Business Partner, you will be a trusted advisor to leaders across manufacturing and operational teams, providing practical and commercially focused HR support across employee relations, industrial relations, organisational change and workforce planning.

This is a highly visible role suited to someone who enjoys being close to the operation, building strong stakeholder relationships and delivering solutions that drive both people and business performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with operational leaders to provide proactive HR support and strategic people advice.
  • Lead and manage complex employee and industrial relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary matters, performance management and grievances.
  • Provide guidance and interpretation on Enterprise Agreements, Modern Awards, NES, employment contracts and company policies.
  • Support Enterprise Agreement negotiations and bargaining activities.
  • Coach and influence leaders to build capability, accountability and high-performing teams.
  • Support organisational change, workforce planning and business transformation initiatives.
  • Analyse and present HR metrics and insights to support data-driven decision making.
  • Collaborate with Centres of Excellence and broader HR teams to deliver key people initiatives.
  • Maintain a strong site presence across the NSW operational network and develop trusted relationships with employees and leaders.
What You'll Bring
  • Significant experience as an HR Business Partner within manufacturing, construction, heavy industry, logistics, or another blue-collar operational environment.
  • Strong ER/IR expertise, including investigations, performance management and workplace disputes.
  • Sound knowledge of Enterprise Agreements, Modern Awards, the NES and Australian employment legislation.
  • Experience supporting Enterprise Agreement negotiations and bargaining activities.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to coach, influence and challenge leaders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across a geographically dispersed workforce.
  • Strong problem-solving capability, resilience and commercial acumen.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and ability to operate autonomously.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline will be highly regarded.

  • Competitive remuneration package.
  • Career opportunities across a leading manufacturing business.
  • Learning and development opportunities to support your growth.
  • Access to CSR's employee benefits and wellbeing programs.
  • 14 weeks paid parental leave and additional wellbeing initiatives.
  • The opportunity to make a genuine impact across a diverse operational workforce.
