Job summary

MAYDAY Recruitment is partnering with a well-known global retail brand to find an HR Support professional for a 6-month contract, with strong extension potential. ASAP start in a hybrid setting, 3 days in the office, within a busy HR team during peak period.

You will handle HR support, employee queries, ER matters, investigations and grievances, supporting managers in a large, fast-paced retail environment. This is an excellent step to deepen HR experience.

Qualifications

• Has previous experience in HR, HR Advisory or Employee Relations support.
• Has exposure to ER investigations and ideally has run investigations.
• Is confident dealing with sensitive and sometimes challenging employee matters.
• Has excellent written communication and attention to detail.
• Can work confidently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

• Review and assess ER investigations and provide support.
• Draft investigation-related letters and documentation.

MAYDAY Recruitment is partnering with a well-known global retail brand to find an HR Support professional to join their team on an initial 6-month contract, with a strong possibility of extension.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy and supportive HR team during a key peak period, gaining hands on exposure across a broad range of HR functions, with a strong focus on Employee Relations and case management. You'll be involved in everything from day to day HR support and employee queries through to ER matters, investigations, grievances and supporting managers, giving you the opportunity to build your HR experience in a large, fast-paced organisation.

What you'll be doing

No two days will look exactly the same. You'll play a key role in supporting the HR team across a varied HR & ER caseload, including:

• Reviewing and drafting Records of Discussion
• Supporting and conducting ER investigations
• Preparing investigation scripts and meeting notification letters
• Drafting investigation outcome letters
• Responding to employee grievances
• Supporting managers through lower-level ER matters
• Assisting with time & attendance, abandonment, conduct and inappropriate behaviour cases
• Providing broader HR support across a busy and high-volume environment

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience in HR, HR Advisory or Employee Relations support
• Has some exposure to ER investigations and ideally has run investigations
• Is confident dealing with sensitive and sometimes challenging employee matters
• Has excellent written communication and attention to detail
• Can work confidently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Has Workday experience - highly regarded
• Has experience with Award interpretation - ideal
• Comes from a retail or similarly fast-paced environment - a bonus
