Job summary

Rosebel Gold Mines N.V. is seeking an HR Advisor, Employee Engagement & Labor Relations to foster positive employee relations. You will handle grievances, conduct investigations, and guide on labor laws, ensuring compliance with CLA, COC, and company policies.

The role involves promoting labor relations with the union, evaluating complaints, managing disciplinary actions, supporting negotiations, and representing the company in external labor proceedings at the Brokopondo site and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in labor law or human resources management.
• In-depth understanding of employment-related legislation and policies regulating employment conditions and workplace conflict.
• At least 5 years’ labor relations experience in a unionized environment.
• Professionalism and discretion to handle confidential information.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, charts, and formulas; proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Promote labor relations with the union and advise on corrective actions to maintain a positive working relationship.
• Investigate and evaluate complaints and disputes, assess validity, and recommend resolutions.
• Manage disciplinary matters with investigation and CLA/COC/policy guidance.
• Support collective bargaining and participation in negotiations on collective labor agreements.
• Manage attendance and termination cases with appropriate corrective actions.
• Represent the company in external labor proceedings and with government authorities.
• Provide HR policy and legal guidance, coordinating with Legal when needed.
• Handle complex employee relations matters with impartial investigations and recommended actions.
